Viamed, a hospital group made up of nine medical-surgical hospitals, three convalescent centers, a social health center and 15 outpatient centers, is already a member of the Institute for the Development and Integration of Healthcare (IDIS Foundation), after the notification of his integration as a new employer in the last meeting of the Board of Trustees.
Marta Villanueva, General Director of the IDIS Foundation, stressed that “it is really positive that new members join our Foundation; in this specific case, an organization in the field of hospital provision whose incorporation makes the representation of the healthcare sector even more important within the Foundation and allows us to continue working and establishing synergies to advance in the improvement of the privately owned healthcare system and, therefore , in the global health system ”.
With the incorporation of Viamed, there are already 26 entities that are part of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, whose objective is to continue contributing to improve the knowledge of what a key sector such as private entrepreneurship in health means and its contribution of value to the system healthcare and society as a whole, through dialogue and cooperation with all the agents that make up and are part of the sector.
Paulo Gonçalves, CEO of Viamed Salud, pointed out that “it is important for us to belong as Trustees to the IDIS Foundation, one of the most important entities in the exercise of enhancing the role of private healthcare in our country. Our presence is, logically, the result of sectoral responsibility, trying to help the group with our humble contribution as a company. ”
The IDIS Foundation is a non-profit organization whose objective is to value the contribution of private healthcare to the healthcare of our country and to promote the improvement of the health of all Spaniards. To do this, it encourages and develops all the initiatives that from the private health sector are aimed at achieving an optimal level of care and health for all sectors of the population.
At present, its Board of Trustees is made up of 26 groups involved in private healthcare in our country: Analiza, Asisa, Catalan Association of Health Entities (ACES), Axa, Caser, Seguros Catalana Occidente, Divina Seguros, DKV, Farmaindustria, FENIN, GenesisCare, HM Hospitales, Hospital Perpetuo Socorro, Hospitals Católicos de Madrid, Hospiten, IMQ, MAPFRE, Hospital Order San Juan de Dios-Bética Province, Quirónsalud, Recoletas, Ribera Salud, Sanitas, SegurCaixa Adeslas, Teladoc Health, Viamed and Vithas.
