Causes and foods for inflamed liver

 

It is known as hepatomegaly. Basically, it is a liver disease that causes a dilation of the liver. The advice: put aside bad habits and follow a proper diet. This is why you should know the recommended diet when you have the inflamed liver.

When there is this problem, it can be accompanied by very annoying symptoms. What abdominal pain, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. One of the most revealing of this liver disease is the yellowish color of the skin and the whites of the eyes, known as jaundice.

Recommended diet

Opt for whole grains and bread. They provide fiber, lower cholesterol and help you maintain your weight.

The blue fishRich in beneficial fatty acids, they help keep the liver clean and free of excess fluids. You can choose from a wide variety: salmon, tuna, sardines, trout, etc.

Incorporates glutathione rich vegetables, a substance that acts as an antioxidant in liver cells. It keeps them “safe” from free radicals, alcohol, intake of drugs and foods rich in trans and saturated fats. Some examples are: asparagus, broccoli, watercress, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, garlic, and onions.

If you have not done so yet, get used to using olive oil, to cook or eat raw. Its content, abundant in oleic acid, vitamin E and polyphenols, keeps the liver in good condition.

The habitual consumption of fruits rich in vitamins and antioxidants (strawberries, blueberries, grapefruits, oranges, apples and papaya) will help you prevent and fight liver inflammation.
